Seren is a video add-on that serves movies and TV shows. It is different than other add-ons because it is only available for users of premium services like Real Debrid, so you need to purchase a subscription if you haven’t done it already. Seren also plays titles using torrents and is very fast and efficient. To get the best experience with Seren we recommend integrating it with Trakt.
Here are the instructions on how to install Seren:
- Launch Kodi
- Click the Settings icon
- Click System settings
- Hover over Add-ons
- Click Unknown source to enable it (if you haven’t done it already)
- Go back to the Setting menu
- Click File manager
- Click Add source
- Click <None>
- Type the URL https://nixgates.github.io/packages and click OK
- Type nix as the source name (so you will be able to identify it later) and click OK
- Go back to the Kodi home page
- Click Add-ons
- Click the Add-on browser icon
- Click Install from zip file
- Click nix (which is the name you gave to the source)
- Click nixgates.repository.zip
- Click Install from repository
- Click Nixgates Repo
- Click Video add-ons
- Click Seren
- Click Install
- Click OK to accept the installation of additional add-ons
- Wait till you see an Add-on installed message
How to set up Seren to get the best results:
To get the best results when working with Seren, you need to set up the providers and integrate Real Debrid and Trakt.
Here is how to set up the providers for Seren:
- Go back to Kodi home page
- Hover over add-ons
- Click Seren
- Click Tools
- Click Open Settings Menu
- Hover over Provides
- Manage Provider Packages
- Click Install Package
- Click Web Location…
- Enter https://bit.ly/a4kScrapers and click OK
- Click Install and then OK
- Go back to Seren settings menu
- Hover over Scraping
- Change Preferred Cloud Location to Real Debrid and click OK
Here is how to integrate Real Debrid:
You first need to purchase a subscription for Real Debrid here. After doing so, you need to authorize Real Debrid to work with Seren:
- Go back to Kodi home page
- Hover over add-ons
- Click Seren
- Click Tools
- Click Open Settings Menu
- Hover over Accounts
- Click Enable Real-Debrid under the Real Debrid section
- Click Authorize Real-Debrid…
- Go to https://real-debrid.com/device, enter the code and click Continue
- Once the authorization is complete click OK. You will see your Real Debrid username in the Real Debrid section
Here is how to integrate Trakt:
You first need to sign up for Trakt here. After doing so, you need to authorize Seren to use Trakt:
- Go back to Kodi home page
- Hover over add-ons
- Click Seren
- Click Tools
- Click Open Settings Menu
- Hover over Accounts
- Click Authorize Trakt… under the Trakt section. A popup will appear with a code
- Go to https://trakt.tv/activate, enter the code and click Continue
- Click Yes to allow Seren to use your account
- Once the authorization is complete click OK. You will see your Trakt username in the Trakt section
