How to Watch Kodi on Roku Device

Roku devices run a custom Linux distribution called Roku OS. There is no Kodi release for Roku OS, which means you can’t install Kodi on Roku devices. However, you can still watch Kodi on Roku by screen mirroring from a separate  device, and enjoy an excellent streaming experience. In this tutorial, we will explain how to do it using Android and Windows devices.

First, make sure that all your devices are connected to the same local network.

Here is how to enable screen mirroring on Roku:

  • Click the Home button on your Roku remote
  • Select Settings
  • Select System
  • Select Screen mirroring
  • Select Screen mirroring mode
  • Select Always allow

Here is how to mirror Kodi using an Android device:

  • Click Settings on your Android device
  • Click Screen Mirroring or Smart View
  • Select your Roku device from the list
  • Launch Kodi

Here is how to mirror Kodi using a Windows computer:

  • Open Settings on your Windows computer
  • Click Devices
  • Click Add Bluetooth or other device
  • Click Wireless display or dock
  • Select your Roku device from the list
  • Once connected, click Done
  • Launch Kodi
