An RSS feed is an easy way to follow news and updates. Kodi uses a cool feature called RSS ticker to display those feeds on the bottom of Kodi’s home page. This works with the default skin of Kodi or with every skin that supports RSS feeds. Unfortunately, most of the users don’t know this useful feature even exists. RSS ticker is a great way to follow news and updates without leaving Kodi.
Here are the instructions on how to add RSS ticker:
- Launch Kodi
- Click the Settings icon
- Click Interface settings
- Hover over Skin
- Click Show RSS news feeds to enable it
- Click Edit to open the RSS Editor page
- Click Yes to download the RSS Editor add-on
Now the RSS ticker of Kodi is active.
By default, it includes three RSS feeds related to the official site of Kodi.
Here is how to add a new RSS feed:
- Click Edit to open the RSS Editor page
- Click Add
- Enter the URL of the feed you want to add
- Enter the update interval for the feed (the default is 30 seconds)
- Click Done
In the RSS Editor page, you can also click Remove to remove a feed or click a feed to edit it.
