How to Install Ktuvit.me on Kodi

Ktuvit.me is an excellent Hebrew subtitles add-on. It is based on the Ktuvit.me website, which provides subtitles for movies and TV shows, including the newest ones. This add-on is recommended for all the Kodi users in Israel, and it is a great solution for anyone who wants to watch videos with Hebrew subtitles.

Here are the instructions on how to install Ktuvit.me:

  • Download the following ZIP file
  • Launch Kodi
  • Click the Settings icon  Settings icon
  • Click System settings
  • Hover over Add-ons
  • Click Unknown source to enable it (if you didn’t do it already)
  • Go back to the Kodi home page
  • Click Add-ons
  • Click the Add-on browser icon  add-on browser icon
  • Click Install from zip file
  • Locate the ZIP file that you downloaded and click on it
  • Wait till you see an Add-on installed message

After installing the add-on you need to register as a new user in Ktuvit.me and configure the add-on accordingly:

    • Register here: https://www.ktuvit.me/Registration.aspx
    • Login to Ktuvit.me
    • Click Ctrl+Shift+C to open Chrome DevTools
    • In the DevTools window click Console
    • Paste the following JS code to the console:

x = {value: ‘PASSWORD’};
loginHandler.EncryptPassword({}, x, ‘EMAIL’);
copy(x.value);

 

  • Replace PASSWORD with your password and EMAIL with your email (the ones you used for login) and click Enter
  • Now when clicking Ctrl+V you should see your encrypted password
  • Go back to Kodi home page
  • Click Add-ons
  • Click the Add-on browser icon  add-on browser icon
  • Click My add-ons
  • Click Subtitles
  • Click Ktuvit.me
  • Click Configure
  • Click Email, fill your email and click OK
  • Click Encrypted Password, fill your encrypted password and click OK
  • Click OK

If you are using Kodi on Android and don’t want to type the long encrypted password but to use copy and paste, follow this tutorial.

Now the add-on is installed, but you still need to change the configuration to use it:

  • Go back to the Kodi home page
  • Click the Settings icon  Settings icon
  • Click Player setting
  • Hover over Language
  • Click Preferred subtitle language and select Hebrew
  • Click Character set and select Hebrew (Windows)
  • Click Languages to download subtitles and select Hebrew
  • Click Default TV show service and select Ktuvit.me
  • Click Default movies service and select Ktuvit.me

The last thing, to see the subtitles when you watch movies or TV show, do the following:

  • When you start watching the video, click the Subtitles icon
  • Click Download subtitle…
  • Click Ktuvit.me as the subtitles service
  • Select a subtitle from the list

That’s all, now you have Hebrew subtitles for your videos. Enjoy it!
