If you’re using the excellent The Loop addon on Kodi to stream live sports and TV, you might have missed a handy feature – an EPG (Electronic Program Guide). The good news? You can easily add it!
An EPG is a TV guide showing you what’s currently airing and what’s coming up next across different channels. It’s beneficial when watching live TV, as it helps you plan your viewing, catch your favorite games or shows on time, and avoid missing key moments.
This guide will walk you through the steps to set up an EPG for The Loop, enjoying a more organized and TV-like experience.
Here is how to set up EPG for The Loop

Next, you must install IPTV Simple Client (if you haven’t done it already).
- Launch Kodi
- Hover over Add-ons
- Click The Loop
- Click 24/7 Zone
- Click Setup EPG (PVR Simple Required)
- Click Yes to update IPTV Simple Client Settings
- Click Yes to disable all existing PVR guides
- Click OK to force close Kodi
- Launch Kodi again
- Wait till importing of the guide is complete

The guide is divided into groups of TV channels, including all channels, world sports, USA sports, UK sports, EPL channels, world entertainment, UK entertainment, and kids entertainment.
Under TV, click the Guide icon at the top menu to see all the groups’ guides in one place. Hover over the different groups at the top menu to view each group’s TV channels. To switch between the channels, select a channel and then click Switch.
Under TV, click the Channels icon at the top menu to see all the channels in a list.
That’s all, now, you can use the The Loop add-on’s EPG to watch live TV. Enjoy it!
